In a paper of the former of the authors, the electrically connected hanging specimens method was suggested to simulate offshore conditions for screening steels for marine application. For further examining whether the method is reliable for the studies on corrosion process and corrosion mechanism in different marine corrosion environments, such as atmospheric zone, splash zone, tidal zone and submerged zone, a comparative study on the corrosion products and the desructive types of corrosion of Ni-Cu-P. steel by using the methods?of hanging specimens connected electrically ,and long scale hanging specimens was made. In present paper, a good correlation ,between the two methods was observed.
