        摘要：Since 1956. the Institute of Oceanology, Academia Sinica, has condueted several scientific surveys of the Xisha Islands, emphasis being placed on faunal and floral studies. the results of which have been published in scores of papers. The present paper gives the preliminary results of an ecological survey of the reef flats of the Jinyin Island and the Dongdao Island conducted during May-june in 1975 and of an algal survey conducted during January-april in 1976. The purpose of these two surveys was to have an understanding of the zonation structure of the vertieal distribution, as well as species composition and abundance of the benthic algae and invertebrates of tropical coral reef flats, of the distribution pattern of fishes during ebb tide, and of the life types of coral reef fishes, as a basis for their rational exploitation and utilization.

        摘要：This is the second part of a series of papers dealing with the marine blue-green algae of the Xisha Islands. A total of 16 species of the marine Oscillatoriaceae are deseribed. They belong to 6 genera and are all recorded for the first time from the Xisha Islands. With the exception of Oscillatoria laetevirens Crouan, Lyngbya nordgaardii Wille and Hydrocoleum cantharidosmum (Montagne) Gomont, which have been recorded from Qingdao, Yantai of Shandong Province and Xiamen(Amoy)of Fujian Province, the other 13 species, namely, Spirulina tenerrima Kuetzing, Oscillatoria brevis Kuetzing, O. subuliformis Kuetzing, O. chalybea Mertens, O. Bonnemaisonii Crouan, O. nigro-viridis Thwaites, O. Corallinae (Kuetzing)Gomont, Phormidium penicillatum Gomont, Lyngbya Kuetzingii Sehmidle, L. infixa Fremy, L, baculum Gomont, L. semiplena (C. Agardh)J. Agardh, and Schizothrix Lacustris A. Braun are recorded for the Chinese marine flora for the first time. The materials for study are chiefly based on the collections made by the Institute of Oceanology, Academia Sinica during 1975-1976.

        摘要：We have so far known approximatly 120 species in the Genus Ceratium. Most of them have been found only in the warm seas, they are importent members in tropical phytoplankton community as well as in that of Xisha and Zhongsha regions.Their habits adapt them to difinite range, so that some speies have usualy been used as good indicators for certain sea current or water mass. During the periods of May to June of 1974 and Mareh to April of 1975, we had collected a lot of phytoplankton samples from the Xisha and Zhongsha Islands including their adjacent regions (15°28′N-17°30′N,111°10′E-114°50′E) by means of a Juday Net (its mesh size is 68 μ2), these are the materials which the present study was based on. In this paper 31 spcies of the Genus Ceratium are dealt with, of which 20 species and 4 varieties are recorded for first time from our country, and 1 variety is emended. Most of these species are familiar in the warm seas, bu tsome of them, such as Ceratium cephalotum, C incisum, C geniculatum, are stenothermal species, which are very rare in the world oceans. C. schroederi, C. fusus var. seta. C. deflexum and C.bigelowii are tropical Indo-pacific species, showing the biogeographical and marine ecological characteristics of the Xisha and Zhongsha areas.

        摘要：In the present nine species of marine green algae from the Xisha Islands are reported. A new species Boodleopsis aggregata is deseribed and six species, namely,Bryopsis harveyana J. Ag, Codium arabicum Kuetz.,C.repens (Crouan)Vickers, C.geppei O. C. Schmidt, C. taitense Setchell and Caulerpa nummularia (Harv. )Rke.,are new records for the Xisha flora, the latter two species being reported for the first time for the Chinese flora.

        摘要：In this report on the marine red algae in the Xisha Islands, Guangdong Province,China, nine species have been deseribed, Cryptonemia parva is considered to be new species, and three species, one sporophyte generation, namely, Gelidiopsis intricate (Ag )Vickers, Cryptarachne okamurai (Yamada et Segawa)Zhang et Xia, comb.nov, Dasya mollis Harv, and “Falkenbergia hillebrandii”(tetrasporophyte stage of Asparagopsis taxiformis (Del.)Trev.) are new to Chinese waters. The spermatangial stand of Dasya mollis Harv. is newly described. The specimens studied including the type specimens are all deposited in the Herbarium of the Institute of Oceanology, Academia Sinica at Qingda.

        摘要：In a scientific investigation carried out by the Institute of Oceanology, Academia Sinica in May, 1975, on the Xisha Islands, a collection of radiolaria was made by a surface tow net off the reef flats of four of these islands. Of the thirty one species of Acantharia identified all are recorded for the first time from this region. Nineteen species were previously reported from the East China Sea.         摘要：The present paper deals with the digenetic trematodes of marine fishes collected from the Xisha Islands in 1977. Twenty six species belonging to twenty genera and ten families were identified, of these, sixteen species and two genera are deseribed as new, the family Lobatovitelliovaridae Yamaguti, 1965 and ten species are new local records.         摘要：In this paper a taxonomic study of the Trochacea of Xisha Islands has been made.Most of the specimens were collected by the Institute of Oceanology, Academia Sinica,during 1956-1958 and 1975. There are 30 species belonging to 14 genera and 4 families, of which 3 species are recorded for the first time from the Chinese waters.

        摘要：The present paper deals with the Mytilidae colleeted from the Xisha Islands by the Institute of Oceanology, Academia Sinica, during 1956-1976.A total of 116 specimens of Mytilidae is studied and 11 species belonging to 6 genera are identified. Of these, three are new and three species, viz. Gregariella coralliophaga (Gmelin ) Lithophaga (Deliolabis )lithura Pilsbry and Lithophaga (Stumpiella) calyculata (Carpenter),are recorded for the first time from Chinese waters..Type specimens are deposited in the Institute of Oceanology, Academia Sinica, Qingdao, Shandong Province, China.

        摘要：The present paper is the last part of the report on the echinoderms of the Xisha Islands, dealing with the Crinoidea. The materials on which this study was based are collections made by the Institute of Oceanology, Academia Sinica. The crinoid fauna is very poorly represented in the coral reefs of the Xisha Islands. There are 56 specimens of crinoids in the collection, which upon identification yielded only three species. General remarks of the echinoderm fauna of Xisha Isiands are given.A distribution table for the various species of the echinoderm fauna of the Xisha Islands is given as follows:
