The present artic1e dea1ing with the species of Chinese Arminidae (=P1europhyllidiadae) is based on materials collected in the past years from the littoral and sublittora1 zones along the China coast. Twenty species belonging to 3 genera and 4 subgenera are described. 8 species are new to science and 7 species are recorded for the first time from the China coast. Among these, 3 species, Armina(Armina) magna,A. (A.) semperi, Dermatobranchus (Pleuroleura) ornatus are recorded previously from the Indo-West-Pacific region;7 species, Armina (Armina) comta， A. (A.) papillata，A. (A). japonica，A. (A.) major，A. (A.) appendiculata，A. (Lingguella) babai，A. (L.) variclosa are common to Japanese and Chinese waters; 10 species, Armina (Armina)longicauda，A. (A.) sinensis，A. (A.) bilamella，A. (Linguella) punctilucens，Dermatobranchus (Dermatobranchus) marginlatus, D. (Pleuroleura) tongshanensis，D. (P.) multistriatus， Pleurophyllidiopsis amoyensis, P. tsingtaoensis，P. orientalis are known to be limited to Chinese waters.
