The west current of the Pacifie-Kuroshio has an important influence on the climate and environment of the Chinese coastland. This paper summarizes recent studies on the Kuroshio in the source region. The transportation, direction,formation and dynamic mechanism of the Kuroshio in the Luzon Strait are described in detail. However, The formation of the Kuroshio here is still unknown clearly, authors suggest using nonlinear method to solve this controversy.
